I've always been an admirer of ornate, cryptic typography and letterforms. The bold colors and fluid curves of grafitti art caught my eye, but it was the deciphering of the word that was always the fun and challenging aspect of the art. Similarly, I've always admired the devotion conveyed in the illuminated religious texts of the ancient world. Art as a form of worship in all faiths have created some of the most elegant typographic works in history. This piece is an attempt to combine both in the simple word, hope.
